It has a lot of possibilities, but the one we used was the following:

  • Give your students a copy of the material attached
  • Explain them that you're watching the movie and they need to complete it.
  • The first task is easy: Find the names of the characters on the pictures while watching the film.
  • The second task: Explain your students that you'll pause the movie scene by scene and they'll have time to write a sentence or their favorite part of it.
  • Final task: They need to draw the scenes to create a comic and they'll need to invent a horrible-toy. Later, we'll have a horrible-toy and comic contest to find the best ones.
